What is the No Bust Strategy?

The No Bust Strategy is a strategy for playing blackjack. The term “bust”, is specifically used for the game of blackjack. It refers to a dealer/player’s hand that has exceeded 21. Which translates to a loss. Exceeding 21 means “bust”.

Who can use the No Bust Strategy?

Anybody can use the No Bust strategy, but it’s probably best for beginners who are just getting into the hang of playing blackjack. As previously mentioned, the no bust strategy does not require counting cards, and is therefore very easy to implement.

How does the No Bust Strategy work?

To understand how the No Bust strategy works, it’s important to understand the game of blackjack. As a player, your aim is to beat the dealers hand. To achieve this, you can ask the dealer to hand out more cards to you, but you must not exceed a total of 21. Should you exceed 21, you will automatically lose i.e. “bust”.

The No Bus Strategy, if implemented properly, guarantees that you will not bust.

Hence, you only ask for more cards from the dealer only if your hand is a total of 11 or under. If it is more, you do not request for any more cards, and you declare that you “stand”. Stand means that you have decided to not accept any more cards and have the dealer move on to the next player.

If you have a total card count of 12 or more do NOT hit. If you do, you could bust, which is not the intention of this strategy. Hitting on a total count of 12 or more, exposes you to the risk of busting. Of course, this contradicts this purpose of the No Bust Strategy.

Combine No Bust with the Martingale System

The Martingale strategy is also a popular casino game strategy that can be used to more than just blackjack. It involves increasing your wager everytime you lose. The intention is that when you eventually win, your past losses will be recouped. By blending in the Martingale strategy with the No Bust Strategy, the two can work hand in hand to give good structure to playing blackjack.
